Today we will find ourselves in a wonderful country where not only flowers can talk, but even Easter cakes, Easter eggs and Curd Easter can too. Easter is the most favourite holiday in this country. That’s why we suggest you to visit this country for Easter.
Easter was approaching and everyone was preparing for celebration. The house of the Curd Easter stood in the centre of the rose meadow. It was called rose because only roses grew on it. Everything around was scented with the fragrance of roses.
The house of Curd Easter was small but very cosy. From the outside, its shape resembled a Curd Easter and was all wrapped in wicker roses. The house was much larger inside than it looked, it had ten rooms. The most important room was the tenth as the main treasure was kept there — a magic book, in which all known recipes of Easter cakes and curd Easter were written down, as well as different variants of colouring eggs that were prepared for Easter. According to an ancient legend, if this book is lost before Easter and it is not found before the beginning of the holiday, people will forever forget the recipes for making curd Easter and Easter cakes. Imagine what the Easter table will look like without Easter cakes and Curd Easter!
In one of the rooms, Curd Easter had a greenhouse in which many different roses grew. Curd Easter loved roses very much and spent much time to talk to them.
She helped the roses deal with the nettles in the rose meadow. Curd Easter had just managed to chase the Nettles out of the rose meadow. And the nettle plants decided to spoil the Easter celebration. They decided to steal the huge magic book with all the known recipes for Easter cakes and Curd Easter kept! No one knew about their devious plan.
An Easter Egg and Easter Cake came to visit the Curd Easter, and they began to discuss preparations for Easter.
– We need to colour over a thousand Easter eggs! — said the Easter Egg.
– First we must bake a hundred Easter cakes! — said the Easter Cake.
– What about the Curd Easter?
We think you have guessed who asked this question. Everyone started arguing about what is more important to cook for Easter — Easter eggs, Easter cakes or curd Easter. What do you think is the most important thing on Easter? Of course the meaning of the holiday is the Resurrection of Christ. However, without Easter eggs, Easter cakes and curd Easter it is hard to imagine a festive table on Easter.
In the rose meadow at this time, the roses were discussing floral decorations for Easter. Each rose thought that it should be the main flower decoration for Easter. While everyone was arguing, no one noticed how ten Nettles approached to the house of the Curd Easter. The most important and burly Nettle decided to sneak into the house. Easter Egg, Easter cake, and Curd Easter were still arguing. Nettles carefully crept into the tenth room, in the centre of the room there was a beautiful book having a cover sprinkled with amber.
– Here it is! — Nettle exclaimed with delight.
The book was very heavy, it almost crushed Nettle. Stinging Nettle pushed the book out of the window and then climbed out herself. Ten Nettles carried the heavy book with great efforts. Everyone was still arguing in the rose meadow so no one noticed the Nettles. Now, do you realize how bad it is to argue and swear? If each of the arguers had tried to be more tolerant, the book could not have been stolen.
At that time, my mum Olga was preparing for Easter. She wanted to make Curd Easter and Easter cakes.
– I can’t remember any of the recipes! — Olga was horrified. — How am I going to cook?
The bell rang. Mum asked her son Zhenya to open the door. He was delighted, Grandma Rita and Grandpa Kolya had come. Olga went out to welcome the guests, but she was very upset.
– What happened, Olga? — Grandma Rita asked. — Why are you so sad?
– Margarita, I forgot how to make curd Easter and Easter cakes! — said Olga.
Margarita was very surprised.
– Now I’ll tell you the recipe! — said Grandma Rita.
Suddenly Margarita, the queen of cooking, realized that she couldn’t remember how to make the cakes! She couldn’t remember her homemade recipes either, even though Grandma Rita had just looked at her cookbook yesterday! Everyone was confused, Mum Olga, Zhenya, Grandpa Kolya tried to help Grandma Rita reproduce the Easter cakes recipe, but nothing worked.
– We need to look at the recipes in the Book! — said Grandma Rita and Grandpa Kolya at the same time.
Zhenya opened the book of Easter recipes, but there were no recipes in there, only blank pages! Everyone decided they would try to find recipes for Easter menu by tomorrow, otherwise the holiday would be ruined. However, when Margarita came home she couldn’t find her cookery book.
Olga saw the guests off and then she decided to tidy up the garden. She went outside and suddenly she saw an unusual glow in the nettle bushes in the distance. It was the reflection of the amber that was on the cover of the Easter recipe book. Olga came to the nettle overgrowth and saw there the Easter recipe book!
– That’s why I couldn’t remember how to make Easter dishes! — Olga realized.
The Nettles got scared, they were caught in the act! They tried to hide the book. Then Olga went into the nettle overgrowth (the nettles were so stinging!) and took the book away from them.
The Nettles were ashamed of their deed. They travelled together with Olga to the Curd Easter., The roses in the rose meadow stopped their arguments when they saw Olga with the book.
– You are all very beautiful! — said Olga.
The roses agreed and thought there was no reason to argue for so long!
Olga went into the house of the Curd Easter. Easter Egg, Curd Easter and Easter Cake were surprised to see an Easter recipe book in her hands. After they heard what had happened, they decided not to argue any more. Everyone forgave the Nettles.
Easter came. Mum decorated the Easter table. The bell rang. Zhenya opened the door, grandma Rita, grandpa Kolya, aunt Olya, great-grandma Anya, grandma Zoya, grandpa Vitya, brother Dima came. How nice it is when everyone celebrates Easter together!
– Christ is risen! — said Mum.
