An Interview with Hypnotherapist Alex Peter Ivanov<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0\u2014 Interviewer: Alexey, you refer to your method as \u201chypnocoding.\u201d It sounds almost like an engineering term. What do you mean by it?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u2014<\/em>Alex Peter Ivanov: <\/strong>I use the word \u201ccoding\u201d deliberately \u2014 though I understand that, in popular psychology, it\u2019s surrounded by myths. For me, it\u2019s a metaphor closely aligned with technical reality. The human brain is a biological computer, designed with the same precision as the electronic machines that, by the way, were inspired by how our own minds function.
\nJust as engineers install programs into microchips, I help people, in a hypnotic state, to install a new behavioral program. This isn\u2019t a metaphor \u2014 it\u2019s neurophysiology. New neural connections. New behavioral patterns. And most importantly \u2014 they\u2019re not imposed, but aligned with the person\u2019s own deeper desires.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Interviewer: So you\u2019re not simply removing an addiction \u2014 you\u2019re helping someone form an alternative?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/em>Alex Peter Ivanov: <\/strong>Exactly. Liberation without a new meaning is just a void. I don\u2019t simply \u201ctake away\u201d alcohol or drugs. Together, we ask: Who do you want to become? What kind of life do you want to live?<\/em> And then I don\u2019t impose \u2014 I tune. I don\u2019t suppress craving \u2014 I create new attraction. The person leaves not with a ban, but with a purpose.
\nThat is the \u201creboot\u201d \u2014 the return to the self. The version of oneself that, if you like, was embedded in us by God. Or by nature, evolution, the universe. Everyone chooses their own vocabulary. But the essence is the same: to live in alignment with who you truly are.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Interviewer: You mentioned that some patients come with previous experience of intramuscular injections \u2014 a kind of medication \u2014 which they call \u201cthe doctor coded me.\u201d What are your thoughts on such approaches?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/em>Alex Peter Ivanov: <\/strong>It\u2019s one of the most dangerous misconceptions. An injection is a chemical illusion of control. Fear-based suggestion is not therapy. If someone tells you, \u201cIf you drink, you\u2019ll die\u201d<\/em> \u2014 that\u2019s not coding, that\u2019s coercion. But the soul cannot be healed through fear. It seeks hope. It seeks truth.
\nThe real root of addiction lies in deep inner conflict \u2014 pain, resentment, unresolved emotions. No injection can heal what has been forming for years. Only when a person consciously chooses a new life does that life become sustainable.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Interviewer: And still \u2014 why hypnosis? Why did that become your primary tool?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/em>Alex Peter Ivanov: <\/strong>Because hypnosis is the language of the subconscious. It bypasses the surface noise of the mind and speaks directly to the part of you that actually makes decisions. In trance, a person hears themselves \u2014 honestly, without fear, without excuses \u2014 perhaps for the first time. And once they hear, they can finally choose.
\nMy role is to be a guide. Not a conductor, but a tuning fork. I don\u2019t instill strength \u2014 I remind them that the strength is already there.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Interviewer: What happens during the session itself? Can it be described technically?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/em>Alex Peter Ivanov: <\/strong>Technically, yes \u2014 but a dry description won\u2019t capture the essence. We first define the goal. Then I gently guide the person into a hypnotic state \u2014 not through force, but through consent. That\u2019s where the \u201creprogramming\u201d begins \u2014 not through imposition, but through aligned suggestion. I don\u2019t say \u201cYou won\u2019t drink\u201d<\/em> \u2014 I help them say \u201cI choose sobriety.\u201d<\/em> Not \u201cI have to\u201d<\/em>, but \u201cI want to.\u201d<\/em>
\nWhen that formula is spoken sincerely, new neural circuits begin to fire. At that point, it\u2019s no longer a battle with addiction \u2014 it\u2019s a new internal architecture.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Interviewer: Your work sounds like it lives at the intersection of science, psychology, and something almost spiritual. Is that intentional?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/em>Alex Peter Ivanov: <\/strong>Everything is connected. A person is not just a body or a set of symptoms. In me, both the psychologist and the hypnotherapist are at work \u2014 and perhaps something more ancient too, what used to be called a soul healer.
\nSometimes people say, You don\u2019t treat \u2014 you guide.<\/em> I don\u2019t argue. What matters is that the person rises and walks their path. A new path. A free one.<\/p>\n
